Vivendo Group organised a launch event to mark the expansion of its flagship Poltronesofà shop in Malta. The public was invited to visit the showroom in Valley Road, Birkirkara, and meet Poltronesofà artisans from Italy, who were there making 20 sofas for local customers using traditional machinery and equipment. The event took place between 09.30 and 19.00 from Thursday, 26th to Sunday, 29th October 2017.
The opening of the enlarged Poltronesofà showroom in Malta is the result of continued investment by Vivendo Group in the popular Italian franchise that sells fabric and leather sofas and armchairs around the world. Besides their shop in Malta, the group spearheaded the expansion of the brand in Cyprus in 2016, where a concept store was opened in Nicosia, followed by a 1,000-m2 establishment in Limassol this year.
The newly expanded outlet is being inaugurated during Poltronesofà’s sixth year of operation in Malta, and serves as proof positive of the brand’s success in the local market. Customers visiting the shop will have the opportunity to view over 100 sofa models on display, spread across 1,500 m2 of retail space, which represents a threefold increase on the original establishment.
To celebrate the expansion, Vivendo Group is flew in the artigiani della qualità from Forlì, Italy; the very same master artisans behind the high-quality sofas and armchairs made by Poltronesofà. Many people in Malta are already familiar with the artigiani, having seen them on numerous occasions in adverts aired on local and Italian TV. They made the jump from the small screen to the showroom, where they were on-site building 20 custom sofas for Maltese customers. Visitors had the chance to watch an authentic display of artisanal craftsmanship, and learn more about traditional upholstery methods and the tools of the trade.Poltronesofà #HOMEWORKS
