From Dunlopillo to FORM – How it all started

FORM is a family business established in 1947 and currently managed by 3rd generation family members. Joe M Galea, a co-founder of Form, set up a bedding business back in 1947, importing the revolutionary Dunlopillo latex foam mattresses and pillows. He started out from a small shop in Rue D’Argens, Msida and since then and to date, the brand and bedding have remained one of the core products of Form.

Fast forward a few years and the business continued to grow and expand into new sectors within the home furniture industry and eventually the name was changed to FORM which has now established itself as a reliable household name recommended from one generation to the next.

FORM is still involved in the bespoke manufacture of beds, sofas and armchairs with experience gained over its 40 years of involvement in this area. Today, however, our product portfolio covers a large selection of home furniture from kitchens to dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, mattresses and outdoor furniture. We also offer furnishings and accessories such as lighting, rugs, ornaments, curtains, upholstery and wall paper, making FORM an excellent one stop shop for anyone who is renovating or doing up their new home. We particularly specialise in offering a vast selection of customisable furniture which can be designed to suit your specific requirements from size, material, colour, etc. We also cater for different budgets ranging from mid-range products to designer and luxury level. Contract furniture is also available.

Today, FORM operates from a large showroom in Valley Road, Msida displaying products from leading brands as well as own brand products. Brands include Natuzzi Italia, Natuzzi Editions, Rimadesio, Jesse, Zalf, Euromobil cucine, Jab Anstoetz, Dunlopillo, Hästens, Dutchbone and others, most of which have supported FORM for many years, which this in itself is a major comfort for our customers.

FORM also has a well-trained sales team and offers professional interior design advice on request. Furniture is delivered in our own vehicles and installation is carried out by our own staff as is all after sales services that may be required over the years.
